Benevolence
In 2006, Providence embarked on an ambitious plan to touch the community through acts of caring and kindness by developing a program aimed at providing food to needy families in the area. In 2007, over 100,000 pounds of food was distributed through this ministry and it continues to grow. The 2nd Saturday of each month finds over 400 people visiting our church campus for food assistance from this ministry.
We believe that this best illustrates the principles and precepts of the teaching of Jesus concerning the gospel in action. Jesus said, “…when you give a cup of water in my name, you have done it unto me…”
Through the service of the members of our congregation who staff this ministry, countless lives are touched each month.
