The Children’s Ministry at Providence comprises both the congregational based ministry and the community focused programs. Below you will find a brief description of these various opportunities for our youngest students.

Children’s Church

Each Sunday at 11:00 am, we provide an age graded ministry for our children from birth to 12 years old. In addition to the nursery in the main sanctuary building, we also provide a pre-school and a “school age” children’s church program designed to meet the unique needs of children. Music, crafts, Bible lessons highlight this fun filled time of ministry to the future generation of leaders at Providence.

Kid’s Clubs

Each Wednesday evening, classes for each age group are available for our children. In addition to providing weekly ministry, this mid-week program also offers frequent outings away from the main church campus.

Pre-School / MMO Program

Providence offers a top-notch pre-school and mothers morning out program for small children ages 6 weeks to school age at a great price.  This program incorporates great fun with learning.  Children will be exposed to concepts and instruction that will help prepare them for the transition to school in a loving and nurturing christian environment.  Contact the church office for information and pricing details for the program.

Kid’s Camp

(After School Care / Summer Day Camp)

Providence offers the most affordable and highest quality after school / summer day camp program in Stanly county.

During the school year students attend the program after school.  During the afternoon the students will have opportunity to play in the full size gym facility and the large playground areas at the church.  Time is also set aside for homework and student tutoring.

During the summer program students attend all day.  During the summer students will participate in organized games and sports, free time in the gym and playground, field trips to local area attractions (e.g. Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Hendrick Motorsports, Frank Lisk Park, Bowling, Skating and more) as well as attend various learning workshops and activites to stimulate the mind and further enhance the educational value.
